Jones Intercable Inc. Started by Glen Jones with a $400 loan secured by his secondhand Volkswagen minibus, the company rose to be the fourth largest cable TV provider in the world. Directors were required to study Gorin No Sho by Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s greatest swordsman, and learn to play the bagpipes.
Dragon Associates Inc. Founded in London, England, in 1968, the company became a major publisher of martial arts books from 1980. In 1983 the company opened an office in California and from 1994 cooperated with Jones Intercable Inc. in the production of more than 40 full length broadcast quality karate training programs. Our first instructor was Morio Higaonna Sensei 10th Dan Hanshi.
