“DOJO” is a competitively priced uniform that is by no means “cheap” when it comes to quality, fit and comfort. Each Meijin uniform is cut and sewn to identical specifications, they vary only in the type and weight of the fabric used in their construction. In other words, if you always wear a size 5 Meijin Tropical or PRO, a Meijin Brand Dojo uniform size 5 will fit you just as well.

The washing instructions we recommend for 100% high-quality cotton fabrics is to use cold water and then hang dry. This will prevent excessive shrinkage and optimise the life of the garment. For Meijin Dojo Brand and Meijin Tropical this is probably the best course of action.
However, with the heavy cotton canvas fabrics we use in Meijin Premier (black) and PRO uniforms, this treatment can cause a natural stiffness, depending on the hardness or otherwise of the water in your area, until the garment has been washed numerous times
If you want a softer finish, try washing in tepid water (never hot) then drying on the gentlest cycle (low temperature) in your dryer.
