Our Seminar program resumed with the June 2022 Spring Training at the Tenchi Goju Ryu Dojo Dojin Dalton, GA. Our faculty includes many of the best known karate instructors in the world including: Minoru Higa, Morio Higaonna, Seisho Itokazu, Tsuneo Kinjo, Yoshio Kuba, Masakazu Kuramoto, Tsutomu Nakahodo, Zenpo Shimabukuro, Tsuyoshi Uechi, Takenobu Uehara, and Hirokuni Yamashiro.This event will take place at the Okinawa Prefectural Budokan in Onoyama Park (monorail stations Asahibashi, Oroku and Onoyama).We will also train at the Gokokugi Shinto Shrine by kind permission of its Chief Priest, Kagi Sensei.

We do not waste your time with the repetition of basics. Rather, we correct your technique and send you home with new techniques to practice and perfect. This is why our repeat rate for our seminars overall is close to 30%.

…we have been organizing high level karate events in Japan, Okinawa, North America, Mexico and the United Kingdom. We combine the best instructors with the most dedicated students to create seminars that are often described as the “experience of a lifetime!”

As a result, in 2016 our senior organizer was appointed to the position of Uchina Minkan Taishi 沖縄民間大使  (Okinawa Civil Ambassador ) by the Government of Okinawa  for his services to karate. This gives our members unparalled access to services while they are on the island.

For Your Convenience

We arrange everything for you. Our long term relationship with Five Star airline carriers like Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways allow us to make the best and most economical flight arrangements for you. We stay in very comfortable self-contained mini-apartments in the center city that boast a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with free high speed WiFi, washing machine and cable TV in the center city area close to Kokusai Dori (Main Street) and two major monorail stations. Airport transfers are included as are training and dojo fees, so your basic local expenses are limited to meals and entertainment.

How Do I pay?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and checks (out of state checks need time to clear). Domestic and overseas wire transfers are also acceptable in US dollars.

Uniform?

A standard white uniform is preferred with style and name embroidery if you wish. Okinawa tends to be warm and humid, so lightweight canvas uniforms (10 ounce) are the most convenient.

Please register in advance and pay your tuition fees using the Dragon Associates Inc. shopping cart. Your reservation will be confirmed by e-mail and you will receive the relevant documentation.

Okinawan Culture

The mausoleum or tomb of Chojun Miyagi Sensei, Founder of Gojyu Ryu Karate. In Okinawa the remains of a family are kept in a mausoleum or “O ˙Haka.” This is the O Haka of the Miyagi family.

This building is often used in the summer as the karate dojo. Due to the extreme heat & humidity of the season, sliding doors and partitions make it possible to expose the dojo to the breezes from the nearby ocean.

Certainly not. There are no restrictions on grade, style, experience or affiliation. However, you do need to be serious about karate training and prepared to work hard.

We can arrange everything so that you fly from your nearest international airport to meet uo with all our other members in Tokyo Narita Airport total the evening flight to Naha Airport, Okinawa where our staff will be waiting with the bus to take you to your apartment and check you in.

Excellent personal instruction, because we keep classes as small as we can. The ability to ask the instructor questions and get clear answers. A beautiful training facility that was designed and built exclusively for karate. You will also make new friends with a group of really nice people who share your interests.

I understand what you are saying because I have been to a lot of bad seminars as well, but ours are very different. There are no competing cliques, training is fun and you will learn a lot rather than just repeat basics. We train together, eat together and party together.
